Maintenance Technician

Description: Position SummaryGothenburg Health is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician. This role performs general maintenance and repairs for the hospital''s equipment and facilities, including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, grounds, and other building systems. AccountabilitiesPerforms general repairs that do not require a specialized technician (examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures).Performs routine maintenance on building systems.Plans repair work using building blueprints or equipment manual as needed.Performs routine maintenance on building systems.Cleans and assists with upkeep of the spects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repair. Minimum QualificationsA basic knowledge of reading, writing, and math is required in order to give and follow written and oral instructions and perform job duties. This is normally acquired through the completion of a High School education or equivalent.Experience in maintenance and installation, construction and maintenance of equipment, utilities and buildings.Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, etc., as well as various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.Knowledgeable in building codes and safety regulations.Willing to work various shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
