Part-Time/Full-Time New hires will receive a $1,000 Sign-On Bonus after completing 90 days and a $1,000 Retention Bonus at one year of employment!With the belief that they were there when we needed them, so we must be there now that they need us, Veterans Inc. is the largest provider of supportive services to Veterans and their families in New England. We are seeking to fill Residential Counselor positions and add valuable members to our team to accomplish our mission!This individual is part of a 24/7 team responsible for the safety and welfare of up to 65 male veterans residing in our Grant Per Diem (GPD) and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) programs. The veteran can remain in the program for up to two years but the typical stay is less than 12 months. The Residential Counselor team is based out of our Front Desk at our Headquarters. Due to the work location, RC''s are the point contact for residents, staff, visitors, and donation drop off. We are actively hiring for all shifts, shift and hourly pay details are as follows.1st Shift (8:00am to 4:00pm) $16.00/ hour2nd Shift (4:00pm to 12:00am) $18.00/ hour3rd Shift (12:00am to 8:00am) $18.00/ hourWeekend Part Time & Per Diem $18.00 Flat Rate WHAT YOU''LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DAY TO DAY:Maintains resident safety and confidentiality. Utilize the wand to check all bags as residents enter the facility; administer breathalyzer and random drug tests to all clients; and forward incoming calls for residents.Maintains safety and security of the building, company vehicles, and all Veterans Inc. property on site.Maintains knowledge of ongoing program issues and developments and informs supervisor of issues and concerns.First responder for client-related emergencies, RC are trained in CPR, First Aid, and Narcan administration.Prepares and submits detailed shift and incident reports of all activities, incidents and emergencies that occur during shift.Answers the telephone and directs all incoming calls to the appropriate staff member.Attends and participates in all Veterans Inc and external meetings are required.Assists with training, performs light janitorial and maintenance duties and completes other special projects and duties as assigned.WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.Minimum of one (1) year experience working in security, residential or direct care servicesMust be able to successfully pass a CORI/Background records pliance with Veterans Inc. COVID-19 Vaccination Policy.
