Boeing Intelligence and Analytics (BI&A) is currently seeking a Cloud Application Developer to join our team! Location: Washington DC NW Telework Availability: None at this time The Cloud Application Developer develops, maintains, and enhances cloud applications for real-time systems and business management information systems used in the day-to-day mission, throughout the customer and across the broader Intelligence Community (IC). Your work will enable data to be updated and shared in real-time and will help drive more informed and timely decisions in matters of national security. What you will do (day in the life): Designing, engineering, architecting, integrating, optimizing, configuring, testing, deploying, sustaining, and supporting DHS applications, services, and data sets operating in multiple cloud environments managed via C-LAN-, HSDN- and SBU-accessible systems, as well as other non-cloud standalone operational networks. Prepare and implement a design for technical solutions to meet each business need, conforming to standards approved by I&A, and submit the design to the Government stakeholder for review. Design and implement user interfaces and work with users to maximize the usability of each capability. Employ existing IT services in IT capabilities, or where no service exists, either enhance an existing service or develop a new one, as a best practice, wherever cost-effective. Work collaboratively with team to receive and respond to project requests Research potential programming needs and required programming languages Provide programming experience to creatively design software Utilize industry-accepted testing methods Troubleshoot flaws Work with different teams and departments to ensure code quality Create reports and present development updates to teams and stakeholders Customize existing code to ensure efficiency and functionality Accurately document programming and code changes Migrating legacy, on-premises software applications, datasets, and supporting databases to the cloud environment to leverage the flexibility and scalability of cloud infrastructure Working with SMEs to write user stories for new software features Working with and maintaining Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipelines such as Jenkins or GitLab/Hub Qualifications: Active TS/SCI Clearance required At least 4 years of experience in designing and developing cloud applications and addressing related problems, system administration issues, or network concerns Bachelor''s degree Have an understanding of the disparity of cloud services in C2S compared to commercial and experience deploying applications in C2S on classified networks Have experience working in agile software development teams and experience with Atlassian Jira or similar issue tracking tool Desired Qualifications: Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program MCSE Cloud Platform and Infrastructure, AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, or equivalent certification Prior experience supporting DHS programs Boeing Intelligence & Analytics Benefits: Employees are more effective on the job when they are not distracted by health and financial worries.
