The Role The Sr Director, Product Management will manage a team of Product Managers that oversee the product development lifecycle of products within the Bloomerang portfolio. This position will be leading management of partner solutions and integrations as well as leading product led growth initiatives. Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, the Sr Director, Product Management will be be responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: market research, competitive research, defining product vision and roadmap for products under their area of focus, creating and prioritizing product requirements, and working closely with engineering and other areas of the business to ensure product goals are met. Product Strategy / Vision / Roadmap Collaborate with Chief Product Officer and other team members to define vision for products / product line and craft a compelling roadmap that balances the company''s strategic goals and objectives with the customer''s needs Lead a team to develop high quality, market leading products driving execution of the product strategy from concept to launch and maintenance Develop a deep understanding of target market, ICP, and user personas Gather and manage customer product feedback including the features portal and a product council; research product problems and solutions with customers Develop a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and manage competitive analysis for the product. Be an expert on the market, competitors, and partners Work cross functionally to gather input and requirements from internal stakeholders. Work closely with sales, success and marketing to understanding win/loss analysis and retention drivers Drive buy, build, partners analysis Manage partner / vendor selection, negotiations/contracts, management relationships and solutions post launch Create and manage roadmap documents and management of product roadmaps in AHA! Identify and track product plans and progress against key business goals (such as customer retention, win rate, ARR by product, etc) and work type allocation goals Develop and utilize prioritization / prioritization frameworks Develop product cost model in collaboration with engineering and finance; Collaborate with pricing team on pricing and packaging Requirements / Release Planning Manage release planning, working closely with engineering teams to establish timing expectations based on velocity and estimates Work across the organization to ensure smooth product releases Define high quality requirements for the engineering and design teams - functional requirements, user stories, NFRs, acceptance criteria, success metrics, etc; Manage and mentor product managers / product owners in the development of quality requirements Actively manage/prioritize the product backlog. Manage defect program including severity definition and prioritization Implement product manager UAT to ensure quality and adherence to requirements Define and manage pre-release programs (i.e. beta releases) as well as end-of-life process Define and track product metrics to goals Understanding of Product / Product Communications Serve the company and customers as an expert on the product Be an evangelist for products including presentations and product demonstrations at internal briefings, customer briefings/webinars, industry conferences, and industry analyst briefings. Work closely with Product Marketing to provide product expertise in development of positioning and marketing programs to drive usage and education Collaborate on internal and external training plans, delivery methodologies, and content Partner with customer teams to provide excellent post-sale experience Management / Leadership Skills: Drive Bloomerang''s values and vision leading to engaged, motivated teams. Direct the activities of multiple product managers/teams and lead the evolution of the team via active mentoring and coaching in product management disciplines. Strong understanding of agile methodologies and product development best practices; mentor team in these disciplines and closely monitor the team to ensure adherence. Assist team members with ongoing prioritization and resource allocation to ensure that products meet corporate goals and align to roadmap Lead supporting product functions such as product operations, product analytics, and product documentation. Continue to drive process and tools transformation for the product team in collaboration with other teams Champion a growth mindset across the company and demonstrate commitment, passion and appreciation for the non-profit customers we serve Ability to build strong relationships and to work with teams, peers and executives on cross-org initiatives. Manage to the budget ensuring team is within the budget and expense guidelines What Does It Take 10 years of experience in software product management at a SaaS company 5+ years experience in depth understanding using an Agile methodology required 3+ years managing APIs, integrations and partner products required Experience managing vendor / partner relationships; contracting and negotiating skills Experience with product led growth, specifically in-product purchasing and provisioning Strong people management skills; experience mentoring and growing product management teams Experience with data driven product design and roadmapping. defining, launching, and managing a successful technology products Strong technical acumen and strong analytical skills Excellent communicator, comfortable presenting in front of audiences Highly detail-oriented and intellectually curious.
