Job Description This position reports to the Facility Security Officer (FSO), performing a wide variety of duties to assist the FSO in the implementation and maintenance of a complete industrial security program including, but not limited to document control, classification management, classified shipments, classified hardware control, and access management as required by the Department of Defense under the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM). * Processing all campus document control activities to include oversight for classified documents, proper markings, cover pages, etc.* Processes classified mailings and faxes to include maintaining a system of receipts for classified transmittals.* Support the fingerprinting process.* Create and modify badge accounts.* Conduct and document destruction of classified material in accordance with instructions and facility guidelines.* Provide support for security awareness and education programs.* Assist in Conduct annual inventories of accountable materials, documents and media.* Assist COMSEC account custodian in accordance with NSA/CSS Policy Manual 3-16.* Complete required training courses as mandated by NSA and other agencies if required.* Required IAD.gov account.* Maintain Mandatory Government Request for cryptographic software upgrades.* Responsible for the receipt, transfer, accountability, safeguarding and destruction of all COMSEC material.* Knowledge on multiple Key loading devices (SKL, DTD, RASKL) STE and ViPer phones.* Knowledge of the NSA 3-16 manual, the CNSSI manuals 4001, 4003, 4004.1,4005 and the NISPOM.* Maintain and coordinated future KEYMAT in support of all programs with the proper short title as needed depending on the crypto period.* Maintain COMSEC Accounting System (DIAS) and related records in accordance with governmental regulations.* Assist with Investigations, preparing and submitting COMSEC incident reports to multiple cognizant security authorities.* Conduct semi-annual physical inventory of all COMSEC material; ensure company compliance.* Work closely with program personnel, asset management and vendors with any purchase of CCI material to ensure proper procedures and NSA physical requirements are being applied.* Perform initial and refresher COMSEC and Crypto briefings and employee training on processes and procedures.* Provide support with all COMSEC inspections and Staff Assistance Visits.* Escorting personnel in the facility.* Performs other duties and responsibilities as required. Required Education, Experience, & Skills Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of duties set forth in the primary duties and responsibilities section above.Must be able to prioritize and multi-task.Strong customer service, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrate a basic level of proficiency with standard applications software such as Word, Excel and database management (SIMS).Must be able to move or lift 40 pounds.Must be able to safely operate document destruction equipment and work in close proximity to magnetic degaussing equipment.Working knowledge of the NISPOM. * Bachelor''s Degree and 2 years work experience or 4 years of experience in lieu of degree* Experience handling COMSEC items/materials* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written* Knowledge and experience of managing classified programs* Decision making and reasoning skills* Knowledge of contractor operations, computer, physical, technical and personnel security requirements* The ability to apply the foregoing knowledge of government security requirements in a complex multi-level secure environment to ensure program compliance in non-routine situations* Work independently to identify, assess & resolve unique security situations with innovative solutions geared to facilitate contract performance within the bounds of security requirements* Highly proficient written and verbal communication skills with emphasis on clear and cogent presentation of complex information* Active Secret security clearance Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills • Previous experience with DISS, NISS, SIMS and DIAS • Previous experience with alarm systems • Facility Security Officer Program Management for Possessing Facilities Certificate (via CDSE) • Top Secret security clearance eligibility • Completion of NSA COMSEC Manager training • Knowledge on multiple Key loading devices (SKL, DTD, RASKL) STE and ViPer phones • Knowledge of the NSA 3-16 manual and CNSSI manuals 4001, 4003, 4004.1, 4005 About BAE Systems Electronic Systems BAE Systems, Inc. is the U.S. subsidiary of BAE Systems plc, an international defense, aerospace and security company which delivers a full range of products and services for air, land and naval forces, as well as advanced electronics, security, information technology solutions and customer support services.
