We are currently accepting applications for seasoned Carpenters wanting to advance their construction careers. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of commercial construction and remodeling practices as well as a comprehensive understanding of procedures, techniques, tools, equipment, materials, specifications, quality and cost control measures and safety requirements associated with commercial building. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:• Installation of doors; drill and set door hardware• Installation of windows• Layout for stairs and common rafters • Read blueprints, utilize appropriate math skills and perform layout • Form and place concrete footings, piers, walls and columns • Pump, place and finish techniques • Placement of concrete, slab on grade and elevated decks • Crane signals and rigging• Effectively communicate and understand both verbal and written instructions• Ability to organize, sequence and perform assigned tasks within scheduleQualifications:• High school diploma or equivalent• Minimum of five years'' experience in all phases of commercial construction • Candidates must have transportation and good communication skills • Be willing to work within a 50 mile radius • Be able to work in a variety of seasonal and weather conditionsPay: $20.00-$31.00/HR based on qualifications and experience.We provide an excellent and comprehensive compensation package with unlimited opportunity for personal and professional growth. This individual will have the ability to perform and execute the following tasks:General maintenance and repair to company equipment & facilitiesConduct maintenance and repairs both in the shop and in the fieldMaintain an adequate parts inventory to meet demands while limiting the risk of dead stockOccasional delivery/ pickup of parts and equipmentMaintain tagging process for tools & equipment returned from rent by cleaning, testing, and inspecting them for rent readinessPerform routine maintenance and repair on tools & equipment as necessary by tracking hours of usageComprehension and Utilization of Telematics systems to proactively maintain and respond to equipment needsCreating workshop orders on the computer and tracking trends of equipmentAssist with quarterly inventoryPerform other duties as assigned by managementQualifications:Troubleshooting and Diagnostics in the following areas:Hydraulic systems and schematicsElectrical systems and schematicsCombustible engines and electric motorsMechanical systemsComfortable with technology and adaptable to changeAWP and RT forklift experienceProblem solver who works well independently but values the importance of contributing to the team effortCrane experience a plusRequirements:Maintain a valid driver''s license & a good driving recordPossess mechanic tools & diagnostic equipment to analyze and complete complex repairsComplete proper OEM repairs without sacrificing safety devices or impact to longevity of equipmentProficient in the lock out/ tag out protocolAbility to travel within multiple job sites/locationsWillingness to work non routine hours as neededAbilities:Possess all auditory, speaking and communicating capabilitiesPhysical requirements: sitting, standing, walking, bending, twisting, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 75lbs., seeing and readingAll Messer employees are required to comply with our Substance Abuse Prevention Policy as a condition of employment.
