Responsibilities: * Data Scientist will support the USSOCOM J52 at MacDill AFB, FL. * The employee conducts data analytics, data engineering, data mining, exploratory analysis, predictive analysis, and statistical analysis, and uses scientific techniques to correlate data into graphical, written, visual and verbal narrative products, enabling more informed decisions. * The employee proactively retrieves information from various sources, analyzes it for better understanding about the data set, and builds AI tools that automate certain processes. Duties typically include: creating various ML-based tools or processes, such as recommendation engines or automated lead scoring systems. Performs statistical analysis, applies data mining techniques, and builds high quality prediction systems. Requirements: * Education: Bachelor''s degree * 2+ years of experience and knowledge of using commercial software and custom-developed apps to support analytical efforts, including the Atlassian Tool Suite and JIRA * Experience with data visualization tools, including Qlik, Tableau, or PowerBI * Experience with database design and development using Microsoft Excel/VBA, SQL, SQL Analysis Services and Integration Services * Ability to identify data and information requirements and sources, and execute data collection efforts, and identify data processing business rules from existing programs, scripts, and applications * Ability to work independently and within a team * Ability to analyze and solve problems Desired Experience/Attributes: * Prior experience supporting Special Operations * Experience working in an Agile development environment, collaborating with Application development and Architecture teams. * Experience researching, designing, developing, or modifying enterprise-wide systems or applications software and design, development, or maintenance of data ETL. * Experience with machine learning applications such as Anaconda and Databricks * Knowledge of campaign assessments, ROI analyses, or cost-benefit analyses * Ability to synthesize and arbitrate large and disparate sets of qualitative data * Ability to organize, plan, and author reports including finished assessment and analysis products * Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, deliver products on time and within quality standards * Ability to take initiative and provide solution recommendations for unique challenges Security Clearance: * TS/SCI Clearance required
