Software Engineer with Security Clearance

What you will do In this role, you will support the development of solutions and support the operation of systems that facilitate the rapid processing, exploitation, dissemination and sharing of all acquired documents and media between strategic/national through tactical/local levels across Intelligence, Counterintelligence, military, and Law enforcement communities to enhance the safety and security of our communities. Activities and responsibilities for this role include: * Supporting the operation, orchestration, and management of the customer IT Architecture, including supporting infrastructure, operating systems, middleware, data services, and end-user applications. * Support the continuous delivery of data architecture capabilities and services including data engineering and database engineering support. * Incrementally add, modify, replace, remove, and support new or existing data capabilities, with minimal impact on performance or the need for significant re­engineering throughout the systems lifecycle. What you need to have * Clearance: TS with SCI eligibility * Compliant with DoD Directive 8570 Certification for Privileged User Access * Willingness and ability to work onsite in a secure facility * Bachelor''s degree or equivalent with a minimum of ten years of relevant professional work experience * Expertise in developing, integrating, and refactoring software libraries to compose new service components, services, business processes, and end user applications * Applies Agile software development and user interface design principles to improve the overall functionality, usability, and user acceptance of new and augmented software applications * Expertise in applying Agile development methods to software development activities * Experience building applications in software containers * Expertise in building applications using continuous integration and continuous deployment processes * Experience applying common programming languages such as C, C++, Python, Java, or Groovy * Experience applying common JavaScript frameworks such as Prototype, Dojo, jQuery, YUI * Experience designing and programming of test automation scripts * Experience in employing test driven development practices as part of continuous integration / continuous delivery * Experience analyzing results and collaborating with QA analysts and software engineers to develop solutions * Experience reviewing and testing software components for adherence to the design requirements What we''d like you to have * Expertise in constructing applications ''on top of'' distributed computing clusters and software components through common distributed processing frameworks such as MapReduce, Bulk Synchronous Parallel, Online Analytic Graph Processing, Interactive SQL processing * Experience applying graphical user interface builders to simplify creation of GUIs using a software program, or an IDE plugin, or an IDE with a GUI builder * Experience architecting software applications using service oriented architecture and Microservices reference architectures * Experience in designing software components to efficiently utilize hardware resources (e.g., CPU, memory, storage, and bandwidth) * Experience in designing and implementing scalable Elasticsearch solutions * Experience in architecting data structures using Elasticsearch * Experience in the just-in-time indexing of large metadata and text repositories using Elasticsearch * Expertise performing tuning and optimizing large clusters About BigBear.ai BigBear.ai delivers AI-powered analytics and cyber engineering solutions to support mission-critical operations and decision-making in complex, real-world environments.
