Job DescriptionThe Physical Therapist (PT) provides a variety of medical services to help individuals who have been injured or physically affected by illness to recover or improve function. A PT specializes in assessing, diagnosing, treating, and helping to prevent injuries and/or health conditions that limit the ability to move and perform everyday activities in a variety of age groups to include: infant (birth to 1 year), Pediatric (1year to 12 years), Adolescence (13-17 years, Adult (18-64 years), and Geriatric (65 years and above). Physical Therapists not only help restore a patient''s physical function and mobility, they will also work to promote overall wellness and boost the patient''s quality of life.Responsibilities:Evaluating levels function and disability and creating and carrying out individualized treatment plans addressing specific functional needs and personal pleting administrative tasks including documenting billing information and keeping timely and accurate records of initial evaluations, diagnoses, treatment progress and any treatment plan notes as required by law and hospital policy and procedures. Develop and implement purposeful goals for assigned patients.Identifies and reviews treatment plans and assess patient performance to modify, change, or write new PT programs.Patient and family education/training, in addition to counseling individuals and families on ways to cope with functional impairments and disabilities.Takes responsibility for care given to patient by support staff, which includes orienting, instructing, and directing work activities of assistants, students, techs.Confers with physician and other practitioners to integrate PT with other aspects of patient''s health care.Maintains current state licensure by completing licensing board and state ply with federal and state physical therapy regulations.Maintains legal and accreditation compliance by adhering to policy positions concerning federal, state, and local regulations and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JACHO) standards.Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations, and adhering to infection-control policies and protocolsDemonstrate understanding of the obligation to preserve the confidentiality of customer and staff health and financial information and circumstances.Apply DRH Health Standards of Behavior and exhibit behaviors consistent with DRH core values.Satisfactorily performs other related duties as assigned.Shift: 1Hours: 80 hrs ppType: Full TimeCategory: ClinicalRequirementsMinimum Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Education and/or Experience: Master''s or Doctorate degree from a four-year college or university; at least one years related experience preferred.Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Current Oklahoma State licensure. BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR and AED certification required.This position requires respirator and fit testing. Required testing will be performed on all team members at risk for exposure to airborne infectious diseases, droplet producing procedures, or any caustic chemicals.*Safety-Sensitive Position **As a condition of employment, vaccinations are required per DRH Policy.
