Staff Software Engineer

Staff Software Engineer, IBM Corporation, Armonk, NY and various unanticipated client sites throughout the US: Produce end-to-end design, code, and tests to deliver new DB2 engine features. Debug and resolve defects. Analyze project data to determine specifications or requirements. Develop and modify software systems. Fix customer issues and consult with other departments on project status. Work on scalable high performance parallel systems programming. Write code in C and C++. Write automated tests in Perl and Python. Work on DB2 warehouse on cloud service (DBaaS). Utilize cloud computing concepts. Debug and resolve DB2 problems in cloud environment. Utilize large-scale distributed system, DB2, C, C++, Python, and Program Testing Software. Required: Bachelor''s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related and two (2) years of experience as an Engineer or related.
