SUMMARY Configuration / Maintenance Analyst will provide the surface fleet and other assigned assets with depot level maintenance, engineering, supply, logistics and information services to support Coast Guard missions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Build Configuration Management (CM) sets according to developing Engineering Changes. * Provide data to establish Configuration Item Functional Descriptions, properly select Configuration Items to maintain fleet data and populate platform system trees. * Troubleshoot all database issues, including adding, changing or deleting configuration items from existing databases to ensure data accuracy. * Travel and participates in and the creation of Physical Configuration Audits (PCA) for new acquisition ships. * Maintain required metrics and status accounting of all assigned work. * Analyze and maintains hierarchical data structures. * Analyze and inputs submitted configuration change forms or document. * Analyze Time Compliant Technical Orders and constructs configuration management sets to update cutter configuration upon implementation of the TCTO. * Develop and maintains Maintenance Items (MI) to ensure consistency between Maintenance Procedure Cards (MPC) and the Fleet Logistics System (FLS). * Maintain CIs within FLS to accurately reflect maintenance needs of the fleet. Validates the Allowance for Parts List data associated with the MPCs. * Analyze and validates MPCs for tools/test equipment expendables and consumables and ensure consistency with FLS maintenance standards and maintenance items * Collect, input, edit, extract, consolidate, analyze reports, present and maintains historical information for the areas assigned by the product line. * Analyze and validate Maintenance Procedure Cards (MPCs) for Tools/Test Equipment, Expendables and Consumables, and ensure consistency with FLS Maintenance Standards and Maintenance Items. * Perform other job-related duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY No supervisory/management authority. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE BA/BS or a combination of education or 3 years of experience in Configuration Data management in support of Hull Mechanical systems on Coast Guard vessels. Must possess a Configuration Data Management certification preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES * Skilled in creating and editing documents in MS Office. * Ability to work independently. * Strong analytical skills and the ability to resolve database errors and issues. * Ability to climb shipboard ladders and stairs, negotiate scuttles and hatches for accessing and examining shipboard equipment. * Ability to comprehend and complete the configuration Data Management Performance Qualifications Standards. * Have the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. * Knowledge of Coast Guard processes principles and tools. * Knowledge of the SFLC CASREP response process for Hull Mechanical and Electrical response. * Ability to navigate FLS, NESSS, CG LIMS and SFLC Central. * Ability to effectively communicate with team members. WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled office setting. Cherokee Federal employees are included as covered employees in U.S. Presidential Executive Order 14042, which mandates Covid vaccines for federal contractors.
