USPI Theda Oaks Gastro and Endo, is seeking a motivated RN PreOp/PACU to join our team. Theda Oaks Gastro and Endo is a fast paced ASC environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families. We are a dual specialty facility in search of a nurse with GI and Pain Management experience. Our team is small but we are mighty! Current operations are M-F, 5:30 a.m. - 6:30p.m., however hours will depend on patient flow. We are a patient centered facility that is driven to reach the highest quality and satisfaction outcomes. Our facility is extremely high-volume and high-energy. We work hard but we also enjoy our environment and team camaraderie. Job Summary: Pre-Op responsibilities included but are not limited to admitting the patient to the clinical area and providing nursing care to the preoperative patient, as well as, developing a nursing care plan specifically designed for the individual patient.Post-Operative Care Unit (PACU) responsibilities include are are not limited to patients entering the postoperative phase of treatment, responsible for assessing the patient''s condition and readiness for discharge.Employees may be cross-trained in other clinical areas and may be expected to perform duties other than their normal ones as staffing and patient needs change.USP-123USP-RNLI-CM1Required Skills:EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Current Texas Nursing LicenseCurrent CPR and ACLSGraduate of an accredited school of nursingMinimum 2 year experience in a hospital or surgical setting; Experience working in an ASC is a plusAbility to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, physicians and fellow employees. (TEAMWORK)Excellent communication and organizational skills.Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, receptive to change, creativity, innovation and ethical behavior.Excellent communication skillsAbility to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patientUnderstands principles of aseptic technique and their implementationAbility to care for patients with changing medical priorities and ability to respond accordinglyExcellent teaching skillsBasic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideologyPatient-focusedUSPI complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce.
