Our mission is to provide state-of-the-art services in the most inclusive environments to encourage persons to fulfill their individual potential through evidence-based treatment, advocacy, and community education.Art Therapist - Minimum RequirementsBachelor''s degree in Art Therapy and/or Masters Degree in Art Therapy or LBS1 certified.A minimum of 6 months experience in the provision of a formal art program for children with special needs.Successful background clearance, physical and drug/alcohol screeningArt Therapist - Essential Functions Choose goals to be addressed in Art Program sessions based on IEP goals and/or those set by the teacherconduct baseline Art Program session to determine student''s current level of functioning in the Art settingDesign a specialized Art Therapy Program based on current cognitive, social, emotional, communications and motor goals.Implement targeted art programs/activities in weekly thirty-minute sessions, either in group or individual the classroom provide students with an enjoyable Art experience which allows the opportunity for group as well as individual participation in the areas of use of materials, multi-media experiences, creativity, etc.Record student''s class or class''s progress after each session, including goals addressed, session plan, comments and thoughts/ ideas for next sessionProvide Art resources for classroom teachers including requested projects and supporting lesson plans and materials by subject areas, such as animals, seasons, holidays, etc.Assumes responsibility as a mandated reporter concerning incidents of purported abuse/neglect of students as outlined in the agency''s policies and proceduresPerforms other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
