Software Engineer- STARS with Security Clearance

Software Engineer Location: Huntsville, AL Description: Seeking a Software Engineer to join the STARS team located in Huntsville, AL. The Sensors Test Analysis Requirements & Simulation (STARS) Project provides the Missile Defense Agency Sensors Directorate independent engineering, operations and acquisition support across the entire sensor life-cycle. A qualified candidate for this position would receive detailed algorithmic guidance from radar engineers on feature additions to the MEDIC signal injector. The candidate would work alongside senior MEDIC software engineers to bring that feature from early design through implementation, correctness testing, mainline integration and finally performance testing. The candidate would be expected to interact productively with radar engineers, test engineers, and other software engineers on the team. Responsibilities and Requirements Responsible for development of software for radar systems Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs application software Ensures software standards are met Participate in software team meetings, hardware and software design reviews; technical interchange meetings, and other management meetings as needed Required Skills: Interested in tight loop, high bandwidth, pseudo real-time, performance focused software development Modern C++ experience Self-driven, customer focused software engineer Multithreaded, multi-core development experience strongly preferred Must be a U.S. Citizen Must have an Interim Secret Clearance to start with the ability to obtain a full Secret security clearance Desired Skills: Linux development experience Ada experience a plus Radar experience a plus Git, GNU Make, Intel MKL, GPU development, Agile, Jira, Confluence, Python experience a plus Education and Experience: Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience CJ About HigherEchelon, Inc.
