Job DescriptionJob Title: Registered Nurse- Operating Room Job Location: Denison TX Job Duration: 3 Months Shift: Day Shift 8 hours 5 days. Roles & Responsibilities: The RN is responsible for the safety of the patients while under going surgical procedures, assists with the supervision of non-professional personnel, anticipating the needs of the surgical team and provides such services while maintaining an aseptic and safe environment. The Perioperative nurse is specialty trained to practice nursing during the Perioperative period. The dimensions of practice range from preoperative assessment to intraoperative intervention on to post-operative evaluation. It is practice designed to meet an individual''s needs through the nursing process, ensuring continuity of care during the surgical experience. With the unique knowledge and skills the Perioperative nurse achieves patient outcomes, which encompass patient''s rights and ethics, safety of the patient, physiologic responses, and patient knowledge. The Perioperative nurse communicates and collaborates with other members of the health care team continuously regarding the patient''s condition. Skills: Must be able to identify and competently address needs of populations served and serves as a patient advocate. Must be able to take call. Moderate computer skills. Required must be able to take call.
