We are proud & honored to provide these services.Overview of position:FEDITC is seeking a Regional Affairs Strategist - Iran Functional Expert to work in Washington, DC. A United States Citizenship and an active TS/SCI and SAP/SAR DoD Security Clearance is required to be considered for this position. This is an upcoming opportunity with a projected start date of (TBD). The specific SMEs shall be available to provide consultation on a wide range of national security matters. The responsibility of these experts shall included assisting in the development, fact finding, and providing advice and opinions regarding: developing strategic and operational concepts with special attention to air, space, and cyberspace power; the effective use and employment of these capabilities by Combatant Commanders (CCDRs), the military services, Allies/Coalition members, and the interagency community. The SMEs shall use war gaming techniques to effect transformation within the DAF, as well as design, develop, and execute strategic, operational, and training games and host seminars and workshops related to these activities.General Overview:The Contractor shall assist in developing, coordinating, and advising on the implementation of policies related to air, space, and cyberspace power in order to support the CSAF, AF/A3, NAF/Air Component Commanders and their Staffs. The Contractor shall be focused on the near-term time horizon (0-24 months) and the current operational challenges associated with Iran and the Middle East.The Contractor shall participate in the operational planning and analysis process and advise the JS and CCDRs on how to optimize the use AF capabilities against operational challenges regarding Iran and the Middle East. The Contractor shall apply SME level analytical skills in order to recommend the actions required for a variety of major missions and operational plans related to Iran and the Middle East. The Contractor shall provide advice and assessments to validate the Iran and the Middle East planning inputs are strategically sound, both operationally and logistically feasible, and resource informed/supportable according to the delineations of responsibilities as set forth in Title 10, Title 22, Title 32 and Title 50. The Contractor shall provide rapid and reach back support to the staffs of the CCDRs and the JFACCs for operational planning activities, contingencies and exercise events relating to Iran and the Middle East. The Contractor shall take National, DoD and AF strategy, doctrine, policies, concepts and objectives into consideration when providing the required operational and Pol-Mil perspectives to AF Checkmate in order to advise the CSAF, AF/A3 and other senior leaders on utilizing AF capabilities for joint warfighter effects in challenging environments.The Contractor shall provide recommendations and maintain situational awareness to the current Pol-Mil issues and operational challenges associated with Iran and the Middle East and the impacts to AF equities. The Contractor shall provide recommendations to DAF equities with respect to current national level policies concerning Iran and the Middle East, such as United Nations Security Council Resolutions, U.S. and international sanctions and AF resiliency efforts. The Contractor shall assist the Checkmate Action Officers by gathering information for the OSD, ASD for International Affairs (Deputy ASD for Middle East), Joint Staff, J-5 Strategic Plans and Policy (Central Asia & South Asia), US Central Command (USCENTCOM) J5-O (Central and Southwest Asia), USCENTCOM, and the US IC for Iran and Middle East related affairs. The Contractor shall serve as the functional expert on Iran and the Middle East and advise the Future Operations AOs who support the AFCAT. The Contractor shall provide senior level support to develop, revise, and review operational plans, policies, procedures, mission objectives, and organization design for the staff, as needed.The Contractor shall eliminate problems or barriers to mission accomplishment by promoting team building, implementing quality improvements, or responding to concerns of other agencies regarding policies, procedures, and guidelines with respect to Iran and the Middle East.The Contractor shall provide SME level support and advice on a wide range of operational capability requirements and administrative issues with respect to Iran and the Middle East.The Contractor shall evaluate requirements and recommend approaches for adding resources or balancing organizational needs with overall mission requirements and resource interests associated with respect to the Middle East, Central, and Southwest Asia areas of responsibility. The Contractor shall identify areas for changing organizational priorities and recommend actions to implement projects and plans with respect to Iran and the Middle East. The Contractor shall be expected to attend weekly directorate-level staff meetings and provide SME level support and advice during frequent intra-organizational sessions to share information and recommend staff actions concerning.The Contractor shall support Checkmate''s interactions with senior level management particularly at the Colonel, GO and SES level as they participate in a variety of organizations and groups within and outside the AF to include OSD, JCS, CCMDs, MAJCOMs, C-NAFs and interagencies. The Contractor may prepare position papers and present high-level briefing of conclusions which may be conceptual and unproven until vetting, verification, and operational proof of concept activities have been completed.QualificationsClearance:Active TS/SCI and SAP/SAR Security Clearance is required.
