Major Responsibilities: Must be able to autonomously assess, diagnose and treat patients with acute, episodic conditions and wellness prevention services for 12 months of age and older. Common services include, but are not limited to, URIs, UTIs, STIs, immunizations, physical exams and minor procedures Facilitate waiting room management, registration and patient rooming processes independently Develop, implement and follow-up on treatment plan Order and interpret laboratory tests and manage patient accordingly Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers, collaborating physician, store management and ACW leadership in delivery of patient care Seek opportunities for continuing medical education to maintain licensure, certifications and deliver evidence-based practice Uphold standards for a safe, professional, and organized clinic environment Actively contribute to process improvement strategies related to patient experience, patient outcomes, safety, quality metrics, organizational referrals etc Must be available to work rotating weekends Licensure: Active Illinois RN and APRN licenses National Board Certification required BLS required, ACLS and PALS preferred Education/Experience Required: Masters Degree in Nursing Prefer 1 year clinical experience in area of specialty This position will need to recognize needs and behaviors of a variety of age groups of patients and provide age appropriate care. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: Well-developed written skills. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills. Performs adequate psychological and physical assessment of patients. National certification in area of specialty (i.e. Family Nurse Practitioner.) Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Travel between sites of care- may be requested to work at nearby Advocate Clinic at Walgreens retail clinics Flexible hours Work under conditions requiring quick decision-making in a fast-paced environment The candidate must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting patients and moving equipment. If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
