Job Type Part-time Description JOB SUMMARY:The Activities Coordinator will develop, plan, organize and direct the activities programs for In-Shape Health Club. This role will monitor the quality and effectiveness of these programs on a regular basis ensuring the programs are profitable and managed to budget.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - WHAT YOU WILL DO:Responsible for the development of all in-club activities programs. This includes growing, maintaining and executing current activities like Tennis, Swim and PickleballResponsible for retention of club members through listening to our members needs and presenting ideas and solutions based on their member feedbackResponsible for retention of club activity participants through listening to our members needs and presenting ideas and solutions based on their member feedbackPlan, schedule, and execute all scheduled club activities, and backfill when needed as an instructorPlan, schedule and execute all marketing eventsCreate and maintain relationships with current and future event program vendors and partnersCoordinate advertising efforts in advance of events through social media channelsManage club activities content on the club webpageOrder supplies as needed and maintain inventory for club activitiesResponsible for administrative support for club activitiesSupervise kids summer programs and ensure the safety of childrenAct as the In-Shape local community liaisonResponsible for managing club event planning and party rentals (birthdays, corporate events, etc.)Review Daily KPIs and identifies trends to find opportunities to improveEnsure successful execution of marketing programs at the club level to generate retention and conversionWork within established budgets and identifies areas for improved efficiencies. Decrease unnecessary and controllable expensesLead and model In-Shape behaviors with their club core values - Deliver, Impact, and InspireParticipate in maintaining a safe, clean, well-run clubInteract with members to gather feedback and support club team to deliver on our member experienceProactively creates and promotes effective working relationships with internal and external partnersPartners club team to complete tasks thru leading be example to improve our member experienceAssist with ensuring policies and regulations comply with OSHA regulationsLead and model In-Shape behaviors with their clubEnsure club team members are modeling the In-Shape behaviors with our valued membersReview club Social Media results to identify success and opportunities for improvementUpdated Feb 2022 Requirements REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS - HERE''S WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:High School Diploma or GEDCollege courses in marketing and/or project management desiredKnowledge, experience, and understanding of fitness industry including racquet sports and club amenitiesLifeguard CertificationCPR, BLS/AED, First aid certificationsKnowledge, experience, and understanding of swimming and swim lesson programmingPrior experience in supervising or leading swim lesson programmingPrior experience in event planning, marketing, or sales, preferably within the fitness, retail, or hospitality industriesStrong event planning and organizational skillsCPR/AED certification required first 30 days of hireHigh regard and propensity for safetyKEY BENEFITS:Free health club membershipCasual work environmentDiscount on in club retail items and any current vendor partner offerings (NASM, etc)Opportunity for growth; professional developmentWORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk and stand up to 8 hours/day and/or sitting for extended period of time. Employees may be exposed to cleaning chemicals or airborne particles and will be required to wear designated PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as directed. Employees are occasionally required to use hands and fingers for handle or feel; occasional reach, push and pulling with arms and hands; occasional climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and occasional reach and twist, including side-to-side movements. The employee may be required to occasionally lift, carry or move up to 25 pounds and may seldom be required to lift, carry or move 26-50 pounds.During the COVID-19 pandemic: All In-Shape Team Members working in the clubs may be asked to assist with greeting members to perform temperature checks and health screens, ensure members practice physical distancing and monitor cleaning of equipment after each use. Detailed instructions will be provided at time of -Shape Team Members will be required to comply with company policies regarding the use of PPE (personal protective equipment), by following instructions and outlined safety guidelines, to protect our team and club members. Club Safety training and equipment will be provided. Team Members are to report to management, or designated team member, any safety risks or potential risks identified in the work environment.
