In this leadership role, the DON will manage, supervise, and coordinate all nursing staff top quality care of residents, and clinical compliance.ResponsibilitiesDirect, oversee, and evaluate all nursing staffPromote the philosophy, mission, and administrative policies of the CompanyOversee department budgets and monitor expendituresResolve issues and deficiencies when neededCollaborate with other departments and professionals to streamline operationsMaintain high standards of care for all patientsProvide care using infection control measures that protect both the staff and the patientManage patients'' data and medical records as confidential recordsDevelop, document, and implement the plan of careCommunicate effectively and courteously with doctors, patients, and family members about patient healthTraining and onboarding new nursing staffProvide ongoing education classesImplement new procedures and training Nurses on policiesParticipate in the QAPI activitiesPerform on-call responsibilities and provides on-call service to patients and their families as assignedAssume responsibility of the facility in the absence of facility Administrator Requirements and qualifications:Active and unencumbered RN license in state of hire2+ years experience as a DON in SNFDemonstrated history of successful survey (clinical aspect)Effective communication and leadership skills
