1st Shift Material Handler Job DescriptionThe Material Handler is required to handle the day-to-day inventory responsibilities, in support of other organizational functions. This position reports to the facility Purchasing Supervisor.Duties and ResponsibilitiesProcess transactions for all materials leaving the storeAssist with dispersal of employee supplies for first shift start upPerform cycle counts and associated data entryProper storage and handling of the received stockClean and organization the stock roomPlace tags and labels on the inventory stockEnsure cleanliness and proper organization of the stock roomCoordinate with team members and other internal departments of the organizationFollow the instructions of the purchasing manager / supervisorMeet deadlines for completion of the delegated tasksSkills and SpecificationsComputer skills are requiredUse of Microsoft Office Excel, Outlook and possibly Word are requiredOutside and inside forklift operating skills are helpfulSAP experience a plusMathematical and analytical abilities are requiredMust be able to work independently with minimal supervisionAbility to manage time efficiently and effectivelyGood interpersonal skills for interacting with other departmentsEducation and QualificationsHigh school degree or an equivalent qualificationSome maintenance background/knowledge of parts a plusMust be available for weekend shiftsEOE/Vets/DisabilityThe Company is dedicated to ensuring a safe and secure environment for our team members and visitors.
