Veterinary Assistant

St. Mina Animal Hospital is a progressive AAHA accredited state of the art animal hospital seeking a veterinary technician/assistant. We are seeking a highly motivated, energetic individual that can share in our mission and help us achieve our practice vision while working with a team. The candidate must be professional, committed to providing exceptional communication and client service skills, multitask, demonstrate the ability to use sound judgment, and be a team player.Duties include but not limited to assisting with physical examinations, preparing vaccinations, medication administration, monitoring anesthesia, collecting lab samples, following treatment plans, cleaning, handling of dogs or cats, and more. This position requires excellent customer service skills and an exceptional level of communication in a professional manner. The ability to multitask, stay organized, and focused will be an essential part of your daily performance. The position relies heavily on various computer software programs and one must be comfortable and able to master them. This position requires a huge amount of public contact therefore you must be a "people person" and enjoy interacting with clients and pets.
