Security Engineer

Location: Hybrid PositionTitle of Position: Security EngineerDepartment: Infrastructure TeamReports to: Director of InfrastructureConsults with: Business Units, Security Team and Executive ManagementTerm: Direct HireOverall Responsibility:This senior security engineer will be responsible for implementing best practices, configuration, design, implementation, and administration of security equipment such as Firewalls, including Cisco ASA; IDSIPS environments, and other third-party integration products. This individual will work in a team environment and be the go-to for security while acting as the SME for the environment. In addition, this senior security engineer will be responsible for evaluating systems architecture to include hardware and software configurations for vulnerabilities, assisting the network and server team and other departments; including online in securing systems while monitoring internal and external threats.Qualifications:Degree in higher education or 7+ years of related experience to include a combination of network, systems, and security.5+ years of solid experience in the information security technology field.Networking (firewalls in particular)Checkpoint firewalls (Ideally. I will consider other platforms and send the candidate out for training.)Network segmentation experience - (We have a huge project with network infrastructure that involves network segmentation.
