6K Systems, Inc. is looking for a professional Audit Liaison to join our team! JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) is the DOT Operating Administration (OA) responsible for the regulation of hazardous materials transportation by highway, rail, air, water and pipeline as set forth in Federal Hazardous Materials Transportation and Pipeline Safety Law. PHMSA has a requirement for professional support services at its headquarters location and regional offices. The Audit Liaison will provide support functions to include: * Coordinating timely collection, review, and submission of documentation to fulfill requests related to audits, recommendations, and mandates.Managing all internal audits and requests for information. * Working with designated SMEs to draft responses, ensuring responsive to the request, and only to the request.Tracking, coordinating, and writing clear factual responses to audits, recommendations, and mandates. * Providing writing and editorial services for written responses and external communication materials.Examples include letters, articles, responses to media inquiries, testimony, Questions for the Record, Federal Register notices, newsletters, presentations and graphics, position papers, briefing papers, testimony, background papers, responses to data requests, and other matters in support of OPS''s mission * Collaborating with SMEs to develop graphics and presentations that make complicated information easy to understand. * Facilitating site visits and walkthroughs.Coordinating and leading meetings, and prior to meetings with auditors, identifies areas of staff conflict to reconcile issues.When multiple audits on the same topic occur, reviewing submitted material to ensure consistency.Preparing staff prior to meetings with external parties. * Identifying process bottleneck and expediting solutions to problems both administrative or operational. * Participating and leading various working groups to ensure office is kept abreast of recommendations and activities that could have an impact on assigned program.Participating in interdepartmental programs designed to improve communication efforts * Working with OPS and PHMSA leadership in development of metrics and dashboards, strategic plans, business plans, and priorities. REQUIREMENTS: * Minimum bachelor''s degree * Minimum 2 years of audition experience with the government * Considerable skill in oral, written, and visual communications. * Must be able to grasp difficult concepts and tailor information to specific and unique audiences (public, Congress and other stakeholders) to facilitate thorough understanding of complex concepts, theories, regulations, laws and programs on the part of the intended audience * Must use analytical skills and apply evaluative and investigative techniques and concepts to assist in the development of products and thereby ensuring the accomplishment of program goals. Ensures that written and visual materials contain no conflict with policy, strategy, objectives, and goals of the related programs. * Demonstrates skill in staff coordination and consultation service to develop work products. Able to present sensitive recommendations and brief the DAA, Senior Policy Advisor, and other senior leaders both in writing and through oral communication * Embodies a customer service-oriented posture and must utilize interpersonal skills, empathy, and tact to resolve concerns.Facilitates collaboration and reconciles divergent opinions, while maintaining relationships and satisfying the greater needs of the agency. * Must maintain a broad understanding of the agency''s body of policy, to identify gaps and internal conflicts, as well as conflicts between agency and high-level policy, strategy, objectives, goals, regulations, and law. * Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, SharePoint, Visio, Tableau and other visual aid development software * Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance This position is located in Washington, D.C.
