âš¡ Director of Machine Learning E-Commerce | Brand Marketing San Francisco (Remote)We are looking for a forward-thinking, hands-on head of machine learning to build exciting models for the prediction of user behaviour in the e-commerce space as well as manage the small but rapidly growing ML team. In this role, you would work closely with the larger engineering organization at to implement real-world highly performant models for recommendation, audience segmentation and auction bidding.Responsibilities:As Director of Machine Learning, your work will directly impact the flagship recommendation product, interacting with millions of unique users to build predictive modeling of purchase behaviorYou will work closely with the machine learning org & partner with the larger engineering org to prioritize specific predictive features & experiments as well as designing and implementing the backend tooling around diverse models applied across many productsThis is a strong people management opportunity where machine learning engineers will rely on you for mentorship, career development, and growthYou will be responsible for growing the machine learning team as we scale out the complexity and scale of the machine learning powered product offeringsTranslate business objectives into data and analytics solutions and, translate results into business insights using appropriate data engineering and data science applicationsWork extensively with product to ensure machine learning development aligns and coincides with business and product goals for the quarter.Requirements:At least 8 years of experience working in Machine Learning or Data science rolesAt least 3 years of managing data scientist and machine learning engineersMasters or PhD in quantitative field (i.e. Data Science, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, etc.)Strong understanding of fundamental common machine learning design patterns, foundational machine learning algorithms and concepts, and software development lifecycle.Experience architecting, building and deploying scalable ML systems into AWS cloud using ECS, ECR, Lambda, API Gateway, Sagemaker, and S3Experience building recommender systems and personalized modelsHighly proficient working with SQL, data warehouses, and relational dataBroad experience working with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and familiarity with infrastructure as code principlesWhy apply?Unlimited PTORemote First Company CultureMedical, Dental, Vision, & Life Insurance401(k)$80 Monthly Cell Phone & Internet Stipend$127 Monthly Commuter Benefit$150 Monthly Fitness / Wellness Stipend$500 for Home Office Setup$100 Monthly Allowance to Spend via disco on Branded Products$100 Worth of Lunch Per WeekAll Access We Work Pass Interested in applying?
