SUMMARYThe Sr. Specialist, Digital Optimization role supports the online and mobile product / inspiration content and visual presentation strategy that differentiates JOANN brand from the competition and provides a best-in-class experience. This role initiates the content plans determined by the overall strategic initiatives, to drive shopper conversion and increase sales, customer engagement and support an omni-channel shopping experience. This person is aware of digital best practices and applies them when optimizing for the best customer experience. This role will lead and champion the site and app experience for their specified categories of business by actively working to improve the customer experience, stay up-to-date on best practices and partner with cross-functional teams to drive increases in revenue and conversion. Leads ratings & reviews and other user-generated experience programs and champions new ideas to cross-functional partners to drive increases in review volume. Develops, tests, and implements the strategy for rule-based merchandising and product recommendations. This role will require continual learning of brand priorities, opportunities, and challenges, as well as adapting to new technology, new digital marketing strategies, ongoing consumer insights and a fast-evolving online channel. PRINCIPAL DUTIES• Responsible for planning and executing the site experience strategy for the Fabric/Sewing and Seasonal divisions, as well as any special projects related to these categories of business. This includes visual presentations for content such as product/category landing pages, site banners and any new additional placements to support product education and inspiration. This role will be responsible for submitting all creative requests that support marketing campaigns and launches, proofing of assets and the QA of all creative content for accuracy before launch. Partners with merchandising team to drive big ideas and ensure content is fresh and up to date. This role will also work with the SEO lead to drive improvements to existing and new categories. Contributes to the development and enhancements of processes and timelines to support efficiency among cross functional teams. Ensure standards for web content are developed, communicated, and adhered to. • Leveraging data, test and optimize to drive future content/experience decisioning and optimize your creative approach to drive better results. In partnership with our digital agency, analyze on-site and app behavior and provide recommendations for experiments and personalization that improve engagement and conversion. • Leads UGC through the ratings & reviews program and champions new ideas to cross-functional partners to drive increases in review volume. This role will also support the optimization of all UGC modules. Maintains relationships with vendor and partners on best practices and executes. • Drives product recommendation zone strategy throughout the JOANN website and JOANN app. Develops and reports out on metrics and tests and optimizes experiences to drive conversion.• Develops, tests, and implements the strategy for rule-based merchandising. • Ensures the best customer experience through support of email proof, customer reviews and performs QA on the site to ensure an error-free and optimal customer experience; resolves issues or partners to resolve. • Keeps current with the latest eCommerce trends and technology to keep the site at the forefront and ahead of competition.
