WHAT YOU''LL BE DOING: At TIFIN, Distill is our centralized data platform, leveraging the combined data from all of our services to build a more complete picture of what investors want. It provides digital distribution insights and infrastructure for asset managers, derived from the proprietary, partner, and third-party data. As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for driving insights from Distill, Magnifi, and other areas of TIFIN''s business. This data will be leveraged to build conversational AI products and features across TIFIN. This is a cross-functional role reporting to the Director of AI and ML at Distill working with the Head of Conversational AI at Magnifi, as well as other Data Scientists, Software engineers, ML & NLP Engineers, and leaders across the business. You must be a motivated and tenacious self-starter who is comfortable interpreting technology requirements, based on business requirements, and implementing them with maximum impact on the users. You will be expected to develop technology that minimizes technical debt while maximizing the customer experience. This is a high-impact role on a lean team that is results-and execution-oriented. THE ROLE: Help build the next generation of products that will allow businesses to understand, manage, and optimize the experience of their customers Use quantitative analysis and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and understand what can improve our processes Develop, verify, and validate analytics to address customer needs and opportunities WHO YOU ARE: Masters/Bachelors'' degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or relevant field Practical experience in data analysis and insight generation Proficiency in languages like Python, R, etc. and in querying databases Analytical and problem-solving skills Experience analyzing large datasets for insights Ability to visualize data in the most effective way possible for a given project or study Relevant work experience, including experience applying advanced analytics, and data mining techniques A local presence in the Boulder, CO or San Francisco, CA areas Thrives in a highly demanding, entrepreneurial, and fast-paced environment Is a top performer and has a proactive, ''doer'', and problem-solver mentality Is highly flexible, has a good tolerance for ambiguity, and can quickly adapt to changing priorities Is an exceptional team player with solid communication skills COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS PACKAGE: For Colorado Applicants: The expected starting pay range for this position in Colorado is between $15.00 - $20.00 per hour. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets.
