Job Description:Please note that this pipe fitting position for non-welded polymer piping!A candidate knowledgeable with grooving, flaring, cutting, bending machines is what we''re seeking. This is a temp-perm position for the right candidate. The ultimate goal is to train the candidate to be a field supervisor.Candidates that may possess these skills could be tube benders, manual machinists, pipe benders, pneumatic technician, boilermakers. COVID19 vaccinations strongly recommended.PurposeAssists Fitter Technicians and supervisors in laying out, assembling, installing, and maintaining pipe and/or hose systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic components for any various fluid power systems in industrial and offshore applications.Education and ExperienceAt least 3 years of technical, vocational, or military training in related field or more than 3 years of related work experienceKnowledgeMechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Knowledgeable on hydraulic components such as regulators, relief valves, different types of hoses, fittings, and adapters.English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.Design - Knowledge of how to interpret technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.Mathematics - Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry and their applications.Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Individuals in this role assemble and test mechanical assemblies of moderate complexity, requiring some fitting and adjusting.Document and provide detailed information for installation or service performed.Assemble and install all GS-Hydro products, as well as various other connection types including hydraulic and industrial hoses. Assist with planning and collecting materials for pipe or hose system layout, installation, or repair, according to project specifications.Modify, clean, and maintain pipe systems, units, fittings, and related machines and equipment, following specifications and using hand and power spect, examine, or test installed hydraulic systems or pipelines, using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods.Loop a hydraulic system for flushing and use a flushing cart and particle counter to cycle oil through the system until the desired cleanliness is achieved.Operate CNC machinery, center benders, radial draw benders, flaring machines, Walform machines, lathe, flushing cart, pressure tester, saw, grinder, hose crimper, drill and other relevant tools.Selects type and size of hose or pipe, and related materials and equipment, such as supports, hangers, according to specifications.Cut, thread, or hammer pipes to specifications, using tools such as saws, cutting torches, pipe threaders, or pipe benders.Cut or bore holes in structures, such as bulkheads, decks, walls, or mains, prior to pipe installation, using hand or power tools.Assemble or secure pipes, tubes, fittings, or related equipment, according to specifications, by welding, brazing, cementing, soldering, or threading joints.Use measuring tape, calipers, and other measuring tools.Read and interpret blueprints, assembly prints, and schematics.Paints Spools when required.Performs all duties in a safe manner and keeps all employees aware of dangers in work area. Practices good housekeeping in work area.Work the assigned schedule and comply with the company''s timekeeping policy.Other duties such as training, inventory cycle/physical counting, warehouse clean-up, operating a forklift, rearrangement of machines/inventory shelving, etc. are required.Job Specifics:Pay: $18 to $24/hr.
