Systems Administrator with Security Clearance

SciTec has an immediate opportunity for a talented Systems Administrator. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for helping to architect, as well as implement, administer and manage the various Windows and Linux technologies deployed across the organization. In this position, you will work on deploying, securing and maintaining HPC systems and networks that support advanced, cloud-native software development supporting essential DoD initiatives. Requirements At least three years ongoing professional experience with Windows 10, Windows Server 19 or Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) in the following areas is required for the position. * Installation and configuration of workstations and servers in accordance with a defined baseline * Patch / package management, third-party software installation and maintenance * Troubleshooting hardware and software issues, providing user support * Networking configuration in a mixed Linux and Windows environment * Strong oral and written communications skills * Ability to work with others in a constructive and collaborative manner * Enthusiastic, dynamic self-starter able to own issues to conclusion * A 4-year degree in Information Technology, Network Engineering, Computer Engineering, or another technical field is preferred. Candidates who have at least one-year ongoing professional experience in any of the following areas will be preferred: * Windows Active Directory * Virtualization technologies, VMWare vSphere and vCenter are preferred * Server and switch installation and configuration, Dell platform is preferred * Security, system hardening, system integrity, system backup, and continuous monitoring/auditing * Security+ * RHCSA / RHCE and/or Microsoft certification * Redhat Openshift Container Platform * Amazon Web Services (AWS) * Network-attached storage (NAS) and/or Storage Area Network (SAN) configuration and maintenance * Automation using shell / perl / python / powershell * Git / Gitlab / Continuous Integration * Configuration management using Ansible or similar * Docker, Kubernetes * Database maintenance and web development * Ability to document, track and execute requirements, policies, procedures, and system modifications Benefits As a small business, SciTec, Inc. offers room for growth and a flexible, fast-paced work environment.
