SYSTEMS ENGINEER / ACQUISITION SMEThe Systems Engineer focuses on how to design, integrate, and manage complex communications systems over their life cycles. They will also perform requirements traces to map requirements specified in the Capability Production Document to production specifications and developmental efforts. RESPONSIBILITIES• Support system requirements and specification development via such activities as requirements trace.• Conduct requirements elicitation, analysis and trace in a Model-Based Systems Engineering Tool such as DOORS, MagicDraw and JIRA.• Assist with the development of the acquisition documentation required of a DoD program of record.• Assist with research, identify, design and implement changes to systems with the goal of enhancing performance, usability, quality and reducing cost.• Assist with configuration management, data administration and migration and disaster recovery operations.• Assist with configuring security settings and supporting cybersecurity activities to achieve information assurance accreditation.• Analyze statistical and performance data that is helpful to perform market surveys, risk analysis, trade-off studies, baseline cost estimates and reliability, availability, maintainability (RAM) analysis needed to support the materiel acquisition decision making process.• Execute complex, multi-faceted engineering projects within established financial and time constraints.• Provide technical advice on the conceptual design of simulations, simulators, training, and instrumentation systems required to support complex military equipment or systems.QUALIFICATIONS• Bachelor''s degree and 9+ years directly related experience or Master''s degree and 5+ years directly related experience (experience/certifications may be acceptable in lieu of degree/years of experience)• Experience with the DoD Acquisition process is essential.
