Registered NurseThe primary responsibility of your job position is to provide direct nursing care to residents and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities following the current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern long term care and skilled nursing facilities. You are entrusted to ensure that the highest degree of quality care will always be provided to our residents. SCHEDULE: 12 hour days- We welcome overtimeKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Care and Care Coordination Coordinate resident care with other municate changes in resident''s condition with employees, physician, resident and family members.Perform administrative duties such as: completing medical documents, reports, evaluations, studies, charting etc.Admit, transfer and discharge residents as requiredComplete accident/incident reportsAssure adequate supplies are available including but not limited to pharmaceuticals, resident personal supplies and equipmentAssure that resident abuse does not occurComplete rounds to assess, develop and implement various types of care needs on each resident including but not limited to; wound care, behavior management, respiratory care etc.Provide treatments and care to medically complex residents in collaboration with the physicianAttend care plan meetings as assignedProvide care plan updates as necessary to assure appropriate resident careProvide resident care according to physician orders and care plan.Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and standard of practice.Respond to all resident call lights regardless of assignmentCoordinate with outside agencies including but not limited to; hospitals, hospice, home health, lab, x-ray etc.Teamwork & SupervisoryAssist with training, supervision, reviews and corrective action for nursing personnelMake rounds to assess quality of care performance and teamwork by employees, assuring quality serviceMake recommendations to the Nursing supervisor concerning employee dismissals, transfers etc.Respond to resident and family grievances and report per policyEstablish open lines of communication between all nursing personnelMay act in the absence of the Director of Nursing or Administrator/Executive DirectorMaintain confidentiality and rights of resident, family, employee and facility information in compliance with PHI HIPAA policies and applicable regulations and company policyMaintain safe work environment and exhibit safe work practicesDemonstrate a passion for caring as evidenced by interaction with co-workers, residents, families and visitorsParticipate in QAPI and other quality improvement initiativesPerform other duties as assignedTALENT:Relationship BuildingDemonstrate friendliness and enthusiasmHave empathy, a caring attitude and sincere interest in othersInfluencingCommunicate clearly and effectivelyUnderstand needs of others and identify how you can effectively assist themExecutingAbility to organize and prioritize workloadDetail oriented and follow throughStrategic ThinkingSolve problems effectivelyIdentify root cause and implement appropriate solutionSKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:Knowledge of computer systems including Point Click CareWorking knowledge of long-term care and skilled nursing state and federal regulations (preferred)Knowledge of nursing and medical practices, procedures and standards of careLeadership and supervisory skills-willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnelPatience, tact and a cheerful disposition, enthusiasm as well as willingness to handle difficult peopleKnowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents servedEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Experience: One-year experience in a long-term care environment (preferred)License: Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as RN in Colorado, CPR CertificationPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset and at times, hostile people within the facilityMeet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of the facility which include a mental and physical examinationPossess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully metAbility to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move and/or carry such weight a minimum of 50 feetAbility to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situationsWORK ENVIRONMENT:Move intermittently during working hoursSubject to frequent interruptionsInvolved with residents, personnel, visitors, government agencies etc. under all conditions and circumstancesSubject to hostile and emotionally upset residents, family members etc.Work beyond normal duty hours on weekends and in other positions temporarily when necessarySubject to call back during emergency conditions (e.g. severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster etc.)Subject to injury from falls, burns, odors etc., throughout the workday as well as reactions from dust, disinfectants and other air contaminantsSubject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions etc., including but not limited to TB, AIDS and Hepatitis B virusesMay be subject to handling of and exposure to hazardous chemicalsOTHER:Classification: Non-ExemptMaintain safe work environment and exhibits safe work practicesNo direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplaceAbility to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays as necessaryWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer, Gender/Minority/Veterans/DisabledFlexibility with schedulePass background checkOther details Pay Type Hourly Min Hiring Rate $35.76 Max Hiring Rate $43.50 Job Start Date Monday, August 15, 2022 Apply Now
