Personal Care Aide (Entry Level) in Tri-Valley Areas

About this position: You would provide 1:1 support to adults with developmental disabilities in their home and throughout their community. East Bay Innovations supports clients in Alameda County and Contra Costa County. We provide support to a diverse age group of adults with various support needs. Your goal would be to provide respectful, personal, and motivating services that enable our clients to participate in all aspects of their community, and lead meaningful lives centered around independence and empowerment. •** During the Shelter In Place, we are supporting EBI clients to limit the amount of exposure to the virus. As an agency we are working to decrease the amount of time our clients go into the community and find more activities to do in the client''s home. *** This job is a great way to gain experience in the non-profit sector, social work, social services, occupational therapy, mental health, or healthcare. We seek people who want to make a difference in the lives of others and are reliable, dependable, and teachable. No experience required! You would get to spend your day supporting clients with: Emotional support and companionship Exercise and walks around their neighborhood Arts and craft projects Zoom events Connecting with friends and loved ones virtually Planning and cooking meals Light cleaning Personal/intimate care Wheelchair transfers Grocery shopping and other errands Modified, using delivery or pick up services. Accessing community activities, such as volunteering, classes, etc Making plans with friends and families Locations of Client homes: Livermore Dublin Pleasanton Work Schedule: If you''re a student, or someone seeking part-time work or non-traditional hours, this may be the perfect fit for you. Salary: $17.33 per hour Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided to all staff and clients. This includes face masks, face shields, gloves, disinfectant, hand sanitizer and more!
