Industrial Control System / Operational Technology (ICS/OT) Security Specialist Job Category: Engineering Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Local What You''ll Get to Do CACI needs a hard-charging and creative electrical engineer or control systems engineer to assist with securing some of the nation''s most critical infrastructure. Primary responsibility will be to architect new methodologies to secure SCADA systems, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and Building Automation Systems (BAS) from cyberattack. Will actively test and operate Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL) in actual and/or virtual environments within anechoic facilities, laboratories, and at times austere locations to measure the success or failure of newly developed security solutions. Participate in planning events, meetings and conferences; produce comprehensive after-action reports (AAR); brief and provide technical guidance and expertise to military and government leadership on mission related objectives. More About the Role Ability to act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the fundamentals of Operational Technology and Industrial Control Systems. Firm understanding of common SCADA protocols, to include Modbus/TCP, DNP3, and BACnet/IP. Familiarity with ICS/SCADA security standards such as NIST SP 800-82r2 and ISA/IEC 62443. Knowledge of a wide range of communications concepts, principles, and practices to accomplish work processes through the use of telecommunications devices, methods, services, and facilities. Work encompasses complex and uncommon interfaces and policies and practices; sources of technical data to evaluate new devices, proposals, and approaches. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; negotiate complex issues; and maintain good working relationships. Researches problems discovered by quality assurance or product support and develops solutions to the problems. Documents engineering work as input for company collateral and patent requirements. Collaborates with technical writers to create customer-relevant documentation. Coordinates with project work teams to ensure adherence to policies, achievement of quality targets and delivery on schedule milestones and works with engineering and management team to collectively meet market requirements. Establishes and maintains inter-organizational and outside customer contacts. You''ll Bring These Qualifications BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent, and three to five years of related work experience. Must be knowledgeable of a wide range of communications concepts, principles, and practices to accomplish work processes using telecommunications networks, devices, methods, services, and facilities. Must have active TS/SCI Clearance Three to five years of experience working with ICS/OT systems. Three to five years of cybersecurity experience. Proficiency with a programming language (C/C++, Go, Java, .NET, or Python) A Basic understanding of wired and wireless communications: IoT/IIoT, ICS/SCADA, Cellular (GSM, CDMA, UMTS, LTE), PSTN, 802.1X protocols, satellite, Digital Mobile Radio networks, LAN/WLAN, Core Routers, Layer 2 Switches, IP & MAC addresses, OSI Layers. Proficiency with the MATLAB/Simulink family of products. Familiarity with Real-Time Simulators. These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have Fill in this section: (This section should include any preferred or desired qualifications or attributes) Experience working with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Energy Management Control Systems (EMCS). Security+, Linux+, Network+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) are desirable. An understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is a plus.
