Java Developer with Security Clearance

Job Description The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements. Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components. Requirements Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor''s degree. Seven (7) years experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of a similar scope, type and complexity is required. Familiarity with virtualization desired. Familiarity with containerization desired. One or more years of Java v 1.7+ programming experience and development of presentation tiers. Familiarity with JavaScript and Spring is desired. Familiarity with C/C++ is desired. Experience with JSP and servlet programming. Experience with JEE and enterprise web application design and development. Experience designing and writing REST-ful applications. Ability to create and deploy applications in an Apache Tomcat web server. Familiarity JavaScript and web proxy technologies such as: REDUX, NGINX, NODEJS, and REACT is desired. Familiarity with using JavaScript presentation libraries such as JQuery, Angular, extJS. Familiarity with automated build and repository management applications such as: Maven, Jenkins and Nexus is desired. Familiarity with Puppet for Configuration management for DevOPS purposes is desired. Familiarity with MongoDB administration and use is desired. Familiarity with Apache Camel use is desired. Familiarity with programming on Linux platforms, including BASH programming and repository management. Experience writing Interface Control Documents (ICDs). Experience with Microsoft office tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint). Experience programming on Linux platforms. Experience using one or more of the following revision control applications: git, Subversion (SVN), CVS, or BitBucket. Experience generating and documenting design specifications of system-level components in a UML-based tool. Experience documenting and presenting all project materials in a cohesive way (e.g., Confluence). Experience with test-driven development. This position requires an active Security Clearance. Positions require a Top Secret security clearance, based on current background investigation (SBI), as well as the favorable completion. of polygraph. Clearance and polygraph processing will be completed by the U.S. Government.
