MAJOR FUNCTION: Performs the manual technical tasks involved with the proper storage, distribution, packaging and labeling of drugs, associated record keeping and patient charging systems; Works under the direct supervision and control of a Registered Pharmacist; Follows proper procedures for the operation of equipment and use of supplies. QUALIFICATIONS: A. Education: High School diploma or equivalent required B. Experience: Hospital Pharmacy technician experience preferred. C. Certification/Licensure: Registered New Jersey Pharmacy Technician required, within 6 months of employment in this position. Preferred: Completion of a certified pharmacy technician training program or a passing score on the Certified Pharmacy Technician Examination offered by the Academy of Pharmacy Technicians or the American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists. Valid NJ Drivers license required. D.
