We at HCL America are looking for an Industrial Automation Engineer. Plan and perform the below mentioned services:Create a backup restore process for all PLC''s, HMI''s and others as plete back ups and images and verify functionality of backups as determined by process.Create and implement a process to automatically save all lab PC images in accordance with Meta standards and requirements, in partnership with other Meta disciplinesDocument all automation software licenses in use such as those listed here and their expiration dates and terms (such as Allen Bradlley (Studio 5000, Rslogix 500), Schneider Electric ( HMI SoMachine , Machine Expert Scada), Mitsubishi Electric ( Melsoft for PLC), Netgear OPC Server, Invision Scada Software, Microsoft Studio, Camera AI software, etc)Audit all HMI and PLC programs and report on current state of commenting and safety interlock featuresRecommend improvements in current programming for improved efficiency and reliability / up time of equipment due to programmingRecommend standardization opportunities with the software in use and planned within the facilitySupport other engineer''s work with equipment vendors by being point of contact for automation and supporting as documented in written and agreed upon requests and scopes. These can include vendor or equipment or software evaluation, down selection, scope reviews, check out and audits.Establish routing communications for existing and new PC and PLC''s in the way to access all remotely form the local server or other methods in compliance with Meta standards and in partnership with other Meta disciplines. Support written and agreed upon requests for automation services in support of new tooling built in house or modifications to existing tools or processes. These can include HMI programs on different SCADA and HMIs, servo and linear axis control, laser writing and other custom applications. Create a spare parts database for instrumentation and automation components. Partner with other Meta resources who will document and manage the inventory of spare parts that Meta determines are critical.Create and maintain standard operating procedures for management of change within programs.Support structured problem solving activities, failure mode analysis and collaborative activities to gain knowledge of material and process capabilities.Prioritize safety in all work activitiesSupport equipment maintenance, repair and troubleshooting activities as requested.DeliverablesStandard Operating Procedures documentation relating to automation management program to include standard programming and selection, notes and documentation in programs, back up and imaging processes and others as definedBack ups and images of all scoped equipment maintained and audited per to-be-defined programSpare part list for defined automation and instrumentation componentsWeekly / monthly status reportsMaintain/update relevant training materials in the repositoryRisk assessment document based on evaluation of existing automationSupport technical information flow process and support automation elements on cross functional teams
