Description:A Technician A - Level 5 must have the ability to diagnose, test, and repair vehicle utilizing computerized diagnostics Equipment. The position requires experience in one or more of the following designations: Automobile (A 1-9), Medium/Heavy Truck (T 1-8), School Bus (S 1-7), and Transit Bus (H 1-8). It requires a minimum of 5 years experience in an automotive service facility and personal tools. Candidate must have the ability to obtain a Commercial Driver''s License with passenger and air brake endorsement or State Required Equivalent. Position requires the ability achieve an efficiency level of eighty five percent or greater and pass ASE certification tests. Ability to display leadershipqualities and assist others as well as the Shop Supervisor with various duties. A Technician A will take direction, display a positive attitude, and perform exceptional workmanship.Duties:Diagnose, test, and repair vehicles utilizing computerized diagnostics equipment.Perform inspections and repairs using established procedures.Perform light and medium duty repairs in the following areas:Heating and air conditioning, electrical and electronic systems and brakes.Manual drive train, axels, suspension and steering.Automotive Transmission / Transaxles.Engine Repair.Perform light duty engine performance repair and diesel engines.Perform medium and heavy duty repairs.Write and understand service and warranty technician stories.Work well with other Service Technicians and Supervisors.Must achieve and maintain an efficiency level of eighty five percent or greater.Safely operate all shop equipment.Display leadership qualities and assist others with various duties.Take direction and perform high quality work meeting all Company standards within the allocated time frame.Demonstrate exceptional workmanship.Maintain and protect company owned property.Follow Company safety protocol at all times and keep work area cleaned.Other duties as assignedPosition Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalent.Requires experience in one or more of the following designations: Automobile (A 1-9), Medium/Heavy Truck (T 1-8), School Bus (S 1-7), and Transit Bus (H 1-8).Must meet all requirements of Level4Minimum 5 years experience in medium or heavy duty automotive service facility.Personal tools required.Must maintain a minimum of (4) ASE Test Certifications (T1-T8 / S1-S7 / H1-H8).Ability to obtain OEM Wheelchair Lifts Certification.Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver''s License with passenger and air brake endorsement or state required equivalent.Requires the ability to pass the ASE G1 Auto Maintenance and Light Repair Certification Test.Demonstrated experience Service and Warranty tech storiesDemonstrated ability to work with other Service Technicians and SupervisorsBasic computer skills to operate current diagnostic tools and CBS operating system.Proven ability to work independently with little or no supervision required.Must be focused, motivated, dependable and display a professional, positive attitude.Must be punctual.Physical Requirements:Must be able to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 poundsWill be required to do frequent kneeling, stooping, squatting, crawling and climbing to perform multiple tasks of position.Must have good manual dexterity.Must have the ability to maintain a valid Commercial License, which includes successfully completing the DOT Medical Exam, Driving Test and all other license requirements
