Role and ResponsibilitiesThis position is contingent upon contract award. This position plans, organizes, and controls assigned projects from contract award notification through program life cycles to optimize profit and meet marketing, financial, and corporate growth objectives. Provides project management for Training Systems Analysis, courseware development, and training solutions in support of the United States Department of Defense and international contracts. Provides updates for Program Management Reviews and weekly status updates. Manage projects from start to finish, within time, cost, scope and quality constraints with guidance of a senior project manager or Program Manager.SummaryThis position plans, organizes, and controls assigned projects from contract award notification through program life cycles to optimize profit and meet marketing, financial, and corporate growth objectives. Manage projects from start to finish, within time, cost, scope and quality constraints with guidance of a senior project manager or Program Manager by performing the following duties:Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Project ExecutionCoordinate transition from proposal to active project after contract award, to include preparing for and executing System Requirements Reviews, Design Reviews, and all required Systems Engineering activitiesAct as Project Management Lead on assigned projects related to integrated training systemsDevelop project management plan and establish goals and objectives for projectsManages team(s) of courseware developers, multi-media developers, information systems specialists, instructional designers, subject matter experts, and analysts while in project executionManage the human, financial and operational resources necessary to meet contractual and company related obligations of the project to ensure profitability.Resolve project work/scheduling problems by reprioritizing activitiesEvaluate potential project risk and develop and implement mitigation plansDevelop and implement project work breakdown structure.Control project schedule and cost.Provide support for Program Managers on all operational mattersFinanceAnalyze and validate budget changesMaintain the project budget at completionProvide project budget/schedule forecasts to Program Manager/Senior ManagerCustomer InteractionAct as primary liaison with customer on project matters such as securing customer acceptance and change control/requestsProvides timely updates and briefings to customer(s) based on project status and contract deliverablesDiscuss alternative solutions with customer including contractual changesDeliver results which achieve lasting satisfaction with customer and achieve financial goalsQualifications and Education RequirementsBachelor''s degreeExperience with customer interaction involving government contract deliverables, training, and acceptance of requirementsRecent Project Management experience, team leadership and team integrationStrong knowledge of program budget and schedule developmentExperience with determining/reporting Earned Value Management highly desiredProficient in Microsoft Office Suite of applications, especially PowerPoint and ExcelExperience with Microsoft SharePoint a plusExperience with Microsoft Project a plusLanguage SkillsAbility to write, read and interpret multiple complex documents and communicates essential data effectively. Ability to speak effectively before small groups and at mid ranges management levels. Mathematical SkillsAbility to apply basic measurement standards to determine and assess changes in performance. Possess basic math skills to support earned value assessment, variance analysis, negotiations and proposal evaluations.Reasoning AbilityAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to logically interpret an extensive variety of management and technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.Preferred SkillsPMP Certified preferredPrior courseware and/or syllabus development and managementSAFe Agile and/or Dev Ops project implementation experienceSecurity ResponsibilitiesMust comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures.
