Job Title: AutoCAD Drafter / ReviewerJob Requisition Number: 20220324CPosting Date: 03/24/2022Work Location: San Diego, CAEmployment Type: Full-timePay Type: Exempt/SalariedSecurity Clearance: SECRET Job Summary: Prepares, updates and reviews AutoCAD drawings for Navy shore installation projects, such as Installation Requirements Drawings (IRD), Installation Design Plans (IDP) and As-Built drawings. Perform internal and enterprise reviews of IRD, IDP and As-Built shore installation AutoCAD drawings prior to customer submission for accuracy and consistency throughout the drawing package. This includes proper use of AutoCAD attributes, proper utilization of AutoCAD templates, and compliance with company and NAVWAR standards. Job Duties: Support Systems Engineers and Senior AutoCAD specialists with Installation Requirements Drawings (IRD), Installation Design Plans (IDP), and As-Built drawings.Review IRDs, IDPs, and As-Builts to ensure compliance with applicable standards (SIPH and IRD), and to ensure hardware installations are documented in detail and provide necessary guidance for a successful installation.Conduct surveys of Navy shore platforms in support of drawing development efforts.Conduct ongoing assessments of shore installation issues relating to IRDs, IDPs, and As Built Drawings and their compliance with the IRD Standard and the Shore Installation Process Handbook (SIPH). Be responsible to various data calls to provide requested information, including research, gathering, sorting and presentation.Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts and Project Engineers, and provide reporting to Task Leads.Utilize established Standards, company templates and SOPs.Qualifications Mandatory Skill Requirements (must have): Functional knowledge and completed course of instruction for AutoCAD software and familiar with traditional drafting methods.Experience in creating AutoCAD drawings such as; network interconnectivity diagrams, floor plans, elevations, building plans, landscapes, maps, electrical, electronic and mechanical details.Experience updating existing AutoCAD drawing ''red lines'' to current state.Requires organization skills including the ability to communicate complex ideas visually.Proficient in the MS Office Suite software.Ability to apply basic math skills to compute scaling and formulas.Ability to read, understand and interpret technical documents.Perform job duties under deadlines/scheduling commitments. Desired Skill Requirements: U.S. Navy and/or NAVWAR/SPAWAR Command Control Computer Communications and Intelligence (C4I) background related to shore installation upgrades.Network Installation Technician experience.Military training and background in Advanced Electronics fieldsFamiliarity with networking diagrams, concepts, and components.Familiarity with AutoCAD Dynamic Blocks and Attributes. Education/Equivalent: Engineering or technical degree with AutoCAD curriculum desired. Completion of a certificate program with a focus on drafting. Desired technical Trade School, military service, or related experience. Travel: Minimal
