Living by these virtues, we pride ourselves on exceptional service and the highest quality of care.The Extensivists Clinic is looking to hire a personable and efficient Medical Assistant or LPNto support our providers at our Boise Clinic located on the Regional Medical Center campus! ***Sign On Bonus offered to external candidates for this position!*** About the Extensivists Program*: * The Saint Alphonsus Extensivists Program provides priority access and transitional care for patients with complex medical needs following acute inpatient hospitalization. This program is an extension of the hospitalist program and offers short term, high-intensity services for patients that have more needs, require more time, or need to be seen prior to what their primary care provider has available. Our team of specialists will work together with each patient to help ease the transition from the hospital to resumed care with a primary care provider. About this Position: The MA or LPN for the Extensivists clinic will review the daily discharge list to see which patients qualify for the program. After the provider review''s the list it is given back to the MA/LPN and the MA/LPN will call the patients. In the clinic, the MA or LPN will room patients, obtain vitals, complete phlebotomy if needed, and assist providers with other orders and tasks. An ideal candidate for this position is very personable and enjoys talking with patients, likes working in a customer service type position, enjoys working with an older patient population, and follows directions to a ''T'' to help maintain an efficient clinic workflow. Work Schedule: This position will work 40 hours per week, Mondays - Fridays, 7:30am - 5:00pm. Learn more about the Extensivists Program: [MEDICAL ASSISTANT REQUIREMENTS Education and Certification Requirements*:* * High School Diploma or equivalent required.* MA certification required within 90 days of eligibility to take a national certification exam from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:* American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)* American Medical Technologists (RMA)* National Healthcare Association (CCMA)* National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)* American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)* Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire General Requirements: * Previous clinical experience preferred.* Electronic health record (EHR) experience a plus.* Experience with process improvement or LEAN philosophy preferred. LPN REQUIREMENTS License and Certification Requirements*:* * Colleague must have an LPN license, as defined by their primary work state (Idaho or Oregon), issued prior to hire date. Those colleagues hired before January 1, 2020 must provide licensure or proof of application in process in their secondary state by August 28, 2020. Individuals hired in this role after January 1, 2020, must provide licensure or proof of application in their secondary state by August 28, 2020 or within six months of hire, whichever date is later.* Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire.
