The specific assignments are in the areas of: • Valves (Motor-operated, air-operated, check, and relief) • Snubbers • Pumps • Motors/Motor Testing • Electrical Components (including protective relays, switches [hand, level, flow, pressure], distribution transformers, battery chargers, inverters, UPS, and emergency lights) • Oil Analysis/Tribology • Vibration Analysis • Heat Exchangers • HVACEngineers at our client''s nuclear site, may have opportunities to manage special projects. Also, engineers typically own key refueling outage assignments. Engineering assignments include on-call duty and emergency plan response requirements.Requirements: Educational Requirements • BS in Engineering from an ABET accredited institution required • Electrical Engineer or Mechanical Engineer preferredBackground/Experience Requirements: • Minimum eight (8) years of engineering related experience • Minimum five (5) years of nuclear plant experience Other Requirements: • Ability to gain unescorted access to the Farley Nuclear Plant is required. • This position requires the successful completion of the company''s Initial Engineering Training as a condition of continued employment. The training is approximately 6 weeks long and is a rigorous period that may require studying after work hours. Knowledge Skills & Abilities: • Background in engineering with a working knowledge of applicable discipline (valves, snubbers, motors/motor testing, electrical components, and/or o il analysis/tribology). • Ability to solve problems and make sound engineering decisions, based on experience and appropriate industry practices to make timely decisions that might impact plant safety and reliability. • Ensures quality decisions are made by considering financial implications and actions to ensure costs are controlled. • Holds self and others accountable for superior results: CMO assignments offer a significant opportunity for learning and mentoring. Assigned CMO engineers should model nuclear standards and technical conscience. • Capable of working efficiently, effectively, and respectfully across organizations: CMO engineers will coordinate with peers across departments to resolve complex issues. It is expected that they will be respectful and professional in every interaction. • Working knowledge in nuclear plant systems, structures, and components preferred. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Assumes personal responsibility for individual and team success. • Proven organizational skills with ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously. • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office products, specifically WORD, EXCEL and POWERPOINT. • Values diversity and respects the dignity of every individual.
