Typically has a high school diploma or GED. Possesses technical skills, including knowledge of design techniques and blueprint reading. Education/Experience High school diploma or GED required 5-7 years of experience required.Responsibility level Exercises independent judgment with direction from supervisor Skills Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability (Required) Team player and detail-oriented (Required)o Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback (Required)o Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models (Typically required)o Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology (Typically required)o Knowledge of relevant computer application, such as CADD (Computer-Aided Design and Drafting; Typically required)Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, dies, tools, and controls, using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment o Coordinate with and consult other workers to design, layout, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems o Compute mathematical formulas to develop and design detailed specifications for components or machinery using computer-assisted equipment o Position instructions and comments onto drawings.* Design scale or full-size blueprints of specialty items such as furniture and automobile body or chassis components * Check dimensions of materials to be used and assign numbers to the materials * Layout and draw schematic, orthographic, or angle views to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems, and machines Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems.Rose International is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
