Job Description

Job Responsibilities Davidson is seeking a Host Based Security System Administrator in Huntsville, AL. Responsibilities And Duties: * Install, Secure, Configure and Maintain the DoD approved versions of HBSS to include ePO server and endpoint products. HBSS being / Host Based Security System which is the official name given to the United States Department of Defense commercial off-the-shelf suite of software applications used within the DOD to monitor, detect, and defend the DOD computer networks and systems * Test and evaluate new/updated end point products before approval * Develop and implement plans to apply patches, hot fixes, and other critical updates as needed * Develop and maintain policies and tasks for all related endpoint products * Troubleshoot HBSS issues and outages with Systems administrators * Resolve issues on the ePO server to include the OS, SQL and ePO application * Maintain ePO automation including application scheduled tasks, database maintenance, etc. * Create and tune policy exemptions for Host Intrusion Prevention, Endpoint Security and Data Loss Prevention * Maintain security status of HBSS infrastructure, including OS and SQL patching and STIG compliance * Develop Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) for Operation and Maintenance of HBSS * Participate in Change Management process as required for all HBSS related changes * Maintain ePO infrastructure in a state of readiness for the Patriot Testbed Enclave at all times. Conducts risk and vulnerability assessment at the network, system, and application level * Conducts threat modeling exercises. Develops and implements security controls and formulates operational risk mitigations along with assisting in security awareness programs. * Involved in a wide range of security issues including architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access. * Researches, evaluates, and recommends new security tools, techniques, and technologies and introduces them to the enterprise in alignment with IT security strategy * Utilizes COTS/GOTS and custom tools and processes/procedures to scan, identify, contain, mitigate, and remediate vulnerabilities, and intrusions * Assists in the implementation of the required government policy (i.e., Risk Management Framework (RMF)), and makes recommendations on process tailoring * Performs analyses to validate established security requirements and to recommend additional security requirements and safeguards Qualifications Requirements: * Bachelor''s degree and 18+ years of relevant experience or High school degree with 21 years of relevant experience * HBSS specific training and certification (i.e. DISA HBSS 201 AND 301) * Experience with HBSS and ACAS * Current DoD 8570 IAT II certification or equivalent * Must have an active CompTIA Security+ certification * Experience with Windows Servers and VM applications * Current Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI * Basic Knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) certificates * Experience with SQL administration * Familiarity with DISA STIG and U.S. Cyber Command OPORD requirements * Familiarity with best Business practice for networks and administration of HBSS * Experience with Microsoft and Linux Server Operating Systems Desired Competencies/Experience/Certifications: * Proven experience supporting Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation (C&A) and associated IA processes, procedures, and activities with capability and expertise to implement DoDD 8530.1, DoDD 8500.2, DoDI 8510.1, DoDI 8510.01 and other applicable NIST and CNSS IA directives, instructions, guidelines * HBSS specific training and certification (i.e., DISA HBSS 501) * Currently has Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) * Currently certified Microsoft Windows Server 2018 * Experience with RSA two factor logon * Experience with file sharing Clearance Requirements:Must have an Active Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret/SCI Clearance
