Engineer Industrial OperationsOnsiteAbout the Job:Job ID: 20509-0322-33506Location: Laurel Hill, NCOverview:Provide support and training to distribution center associates, supervisors, operations management, on the effective work processes, standard work, work methods and utilization of data and reporting to track key KPIs in order to meet/exceed distribution goals.Responsible for developing and maintaining engineered work standards on traditional distribution processes and the labor management system. Assigned process improvement projects by the Director of IE Distribution. Provide the critical thinking, in depth data analysis and workplace solutions within the distribution center and overall distribution network.Facilitation of Continuous Improvement/Lean/6Sigma events and needed audits to sustain and provide feedback. This role is responsible for seeking opportunities for cost reductions and improving throughput/customer service from a strategic/tactical level point of view. Will utilize strong analytical skills, data mining and database development to get accurate and value added information.Responsibilities:To develop, update and maintain the engineered work standards within the distribution network. This can be accomplished by traditional stopwatch time studies or predetermined time standards (MOST) and more recently specialized apps in handheld devices (E.g. UMT).Develop and analyze complex and detailed data and reporting to synthesize information leading to problem resolution and continuous improvement. Supply critical feedback to concerned parties, and formulate plans for operator/process improvement.Develop and Maintain accurate plant layouts and equipment utilization in a dynamic environment.Troubleshoot any issues related to the operational performance of the facility.Work closely with the Director of IE Distribution and the Distribution Center leadership team on assigned projects. These projects will be process improvement based.Supervision of project lifecycles including scope, objectives, resources, project management and results delivery - close coordination with internal/external operational/support functions.Responsible for performing product/process cost analysis for potential project assignments for the facility, proactively conducting audits or providing direction at shop floor level on production adherence to SOP''s/ELS.The ability to travel to distribution centers in the network and some vendors.Qualifications:The Industrial Engineer Operations will possess a Degree in Industrial Engineering or similar related degree - Bachelor required, Masters preferred. Demonstrated work experience with data mining and data base development is required.Must be proficient with Excel, SQL, Power BI, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, and AutoCAD.Strong project management skills are required.Candidates should be familiar with Warehouse Management System, Labor Management Systems particularly Manhattan versions, Kronos, and preferably, Incentive Pay Systems.Must have strong written and oral communication skills.Strong interpersonal skills are a must.More than 3 years experience in using/providing Lean/6 Sigma training; certification preferred.More than 3 years of work experience with Warehouses and/or fulfillment/distribution centers is preferredAbout our CompanyDataSoft Technologies is a highly recognized provider of professional IT Consulting services in the US.
