Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop and apply qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques to insure quality productsEstablish effective liaison with all departments, keeping them abreast of quality problems, program priorities, process audits and other significant information, which may relate to their areasCoordinate and prepare for meetings as neededResponsible for the overall quality of products shipped form all Opportunities, Inc. facilitiesSchedule and supervise the Quality Team to provide continual support of all Production operations and remain up to date in QA standard processes. Ability to supervise employees over multiple shifts up to 7 days per weekEnsure records are established and maintained to provide evidence that the Quality Management System (QMS) is adhered to and affective. (Plan, Do, Check, Act)Coordinate continual improvements of the QMS, ensuring that evidence of corrective and preventative actions taken recorded and reviewedDevelop quality assurance processes by identifying critical control points and preventative measures, monitor procedures, corrective actions and verifications of procedures, determining operational and performance qualifications, writing and updating quality assurance proceduresResponsible for Agency Quality Audits including customer, vendors, process and product audits. Ensure these quality audits are reviewed and assure the implementation of audit actionsPerform all quality control liaisons with vendor and customers'' representativesEffectively communicate with Operations and Customer Service Department to educate on specific customer requirements to ensure objectives, initiatives and performance plans such as work instructions and methods are followedEnsure that procedures and processes meet USDA and FDA requirementsAdministrate/Coordinate ISO compliance standardsResponsible for supplier and internal corrective action, non-conforming material review and evaluation. Including customer quality non-conformance resolutionEnsure compliance with all HACCP and other Food Safety regulationsElectronically produce and file quality assurance forms, including Corrective Action Reports for internal purposes and external customers. Report Corrective Action Reports monthly to ManagementChampion Quality Assurance monthly reporting to outline areas for improvement to the Management and Vocational Training Team by explaining the root cause of repetitive issues and defining ideas for continual improvementSupervise and direct an organized and efficient quality department, upgrading the quality of the staff through proper selection, training, motivation and guidance to increase their effectivenessRecommends and implements changes to enhance any quality and food safety in our productsREQUIREMENTS:Bachelor''s degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceExtensive knowledge of ISO, HACCP, USDA, FDA and other regulatory requirements and industry practicesHigh level of organizational, communication and analytical skills as well as previous supervisory and management experience.
