Company Overview - GHPIA is a fee-only financial planning and investment advisory firm that offers comprehensive, integrated wealth management services for individuals and small businesses. Position Overview - The initial focus of this position will be to assist in the conversion of two of our primary systems and aiding in transitioning proprietary software in a continued hybrid environment of on-premise data and cloud data. The data backing on premise software is now leveraging cloud data, which requires some automated data flow development and maintenance. The software developer is also responsible for software development using various programming languages and related tools/frameworks to fix bugs, perform code maintenance, and develop new features. The software developer is responsible for exposing data in usable/reportable formats to be used in data management and data analysis. The software developer will work with various teams within the company, which will require clear, explicit communication across teams with different priorities and needs. The programmer is also expected to meet deadlines with minimal oversight. Primary ResponsibilitiesDevelopment of proprietary, web-based client management and analytics tool (will require ASP.NET MVC, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, SQL Server, IIS)Development of reporting tools to allow more access to data (will require knowledge of tools like Power BI)Collaborate with team members on developing and improving existing investment research toolsCommunicate with involved parties on project progress and deadlinesProactively contribute ideas regarding existing and new software toolsLearn and understand the company''s investment philosophy and client-first mentalityQualifications/SkillsBachelor''s degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field 4+ years programming experience, including but not limited to: Extensive experience in SQL Server (required) Extensive experience in a fundamental, object-oriented language, such as C or Java (required) ASP.NET, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Web Applications, web API and IIS (required) Excel applicationsPower BI or other like reporting toolsExperience with project management tools like Azure DevOpsExperience with source control tools including GitDemonstrated independent project management Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.Problem assessment and resolution Positive attitude, enthusiasm, professionalism, and strong work ethic with high level of integrity and ethicsOrganized with a strong attention to detail and able to perform multiple tasks efficientlyAbility to manage and process complex operational work, demonstrating flexibility to changing prioritiesSelf-directed with the ability to prioritize and manage competing tasksFinancial industry experience preferred, but not required
