CFD/Aerodynamics Engineer: Bell is seeking a CFD/Aerodynamics Engineer to join Bell''s Technical Engineering Organization and support the development of new and novel products and platforms such as unmanned aerial vehicles, helicopters, tilt-rotors, and urban air taxis. This position will be part of a diverse team of engineers capable of executing in a fast-paced environment. Position Responsibilities: * Analytical performance modeling of aircraft rotating components (e.g., rotors, ducted fan thrusting devices, propellers), non-rotating components (fuselage, stabilizing surfaces, protuberances), and powerplant installations. * Use CFD to support test activities, to provide guidance to design engineers, and to research and analyze complex aerodynamic phenomena. * Improve existing analytical capabilities by developing and improving best practices, automating processes, and streamlining workflows. * Development of procedures and test plans for the correlation/validation of analytical models. * Analyze and interpret both experimental and computational test data. * Documentation, reporting, publishing, and making technical presentations of engineering solutions. Qualifications Educational Requirements: * Bachelor''s degree in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent field is required; Masters degree is preferred. * Two or more years of experience in an aerospace environment Position Requirements: Experience in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analyses of aircraft components including * Pre-Processing and grid generation * Unstructured grid generation preferred * Structured grid generation is a plus * Overset grid generation is a plus * Familiarity with current tools preferred * Pointwise * OVERGRID * Familiarity with current CFD solvers preferred - NASA FUN3D - NASA OVERFLOW - CREATE-AV HELIOS * Familiarity with current CFD post-processing tools * FieldView * Tecplot * Required Familiarity with at least one of the following HPC programming languages * Python * FORTRAN * C/C * MPI * Experience with GPU programming is a plus * Advanced knowledge of theoretical aerodynamics and computational methods as demonstrated by a relevant graduate degree and/or published work * Experience in verification and validation of analytical predictions with measured data * Experience in independent diagnoses of erroneous results * Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) and software development * Linux experience preferred * CJ Don''t miss the chance to join a diverse, inclusive environment where you feel a sense of belonging.
