Our state of the art medical facility located in the Raleigh-Durham area specializes in orthopedic, ophthalmology, ear, nose, and throat as well as sports medicine, oral, plastic, podiatry, general bariatric, interventional radiology, pain management, and reconstructive surgery. We tailor our facility and resources to best fit the needs of each. We are able to provide individualized attention to each and every patient we serve, with physicians providing personalized careSalary Range: $16-$21.50 depending on experience NCSH offers competitive pay, full benefits package (including, but not limited to: health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance), 401K plans with company match and Paid Time Off.Job Summary:Under the supervision of the Materials Manager, the Materials Management Assistant performs clerical and related duties to assist Materials Manager in acquisition and distribution of supplies and equipment for the hospital. Additional duties include, but are not be limited to: receiving, processing and stocking/distributing incoming orders according to departmental procedures, collects, restocks and returns supply carts in conjunction with the Nursing Service Department personnel, arranges and rotates items on shelves. Fills stock requisitions from user departments and delivers to the appropriate location. Will assist as needed in the pick-up and delivery of items outside the hospital. Processes outbound shipping documents and packages; processes returns to vendors. Must adhere to all Hospital Policies and Procedures, specifically Guidelines for Appropriate Conduct, Corporate Compliance, Diversity, and Confidentiality. Complies with National Patient Safety Goals, Universal precautions and infection control guidelines, including hand washing guidelines followed at all times.Skills & Abilities:• Able to work independently and meet established deadlines.• Able to make sound reasonable decisions• Highly organized• Ability to concentrate on many detailed requests despite numerous interruptions.• Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness; is receptive to change, and exhibits creativity and innovation.• Ability to identify and calmly handle inherently stressful situations with tact.• Excellent communication skills• Ability to develop excellent working relationships with consumers and staff.• Seeks guidance, direction and assistance when needed• Ability to be flexible and take on new responsibilitiesTraining, Experience & Education:• High school diploma or GED equivalent• One (1) year of related training and/or experience (or a combination of both)• Computer skills required (experience with Outlook and Microsoft Excel required)• Experience with Lawson financial system, logistics, and medical supplies/equipment requiredCovid-19 protocol: mandatory staff vaccination, social distancing, face masks, patient testing, visitor restrictions, terminal cleaning.
