Select Physical Therapy in Tacoma, WA has an incredible opportunity to be the on-site cancer rehabilitation clinician within Northwest Medical Specialties (NWMS) and work with a diverse clinician team at our outpatient center one mile from NWMS. The onsite clinic is a single room, single clinician space located within the same building as NWMS, which allows the opportunity to interact and brainstorm with the cancer care team. Rotating between two clinics provides the opportunity to treat both general orthopedics and the cancer rehab population, allowing for therapy team collaboration and mentorship. This individual should be eager to grow and develop our program in conjunction with Northwest Medical Specialties. Strong interest in cancer rehab and desire to dedicate at least 50% of one''s caseload to cancer rehab, and interest in becoming lymphedema certified are required. Seize the opportunity to join our highly trained and respected ReVital Cancer Rehabilitation Program team, who provide rehabilitative services to help improve quality of life for people affected by cancer. Our ReVital team provides the necessary education and training for therapists invested in treating our oncologic population, which must be completed within the first 6-12 months of employment. We are flexible, adaptable, and able to learn from our experiences.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications: Successful completion of those educational requirements as mandated for state licensure or eligibility for a license in Physical Therapy Current State licensure or eligibility for licensure in the State of practice Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required Interest in cancer rehabilitation Interest in becoming lymphedema certifiedPreferred Experience: Lymphedema experience/certification Program development/leadership experiencePhysical Requirements: Ability to lift patients using appropriate biomechanical techniques frequently throughout the course of a work day/shift.
