Our core product is an all-in-one property management platform designed for real estate professionals to take control of their business by streamlining their accounting, maintenance, communication, and leasing processes in the cloud.As a Technical Lead, you''ll be part of a cross-functional product team delivering new features to our client base of over 17,000 property managers and housing associations. This position is a multifaceted role with responsibility for providing the technical vision for the team, ensuring the team is successfully executing on projects all while being a highly productive contributor. This is a great chance to be part of a growing organization that is dedicated to engineering best practices and processes as well as continually providing opportunities for professional growth.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESAccountable for the delivery of the team ensuring high quality work that aligns with Buildium''s overall product and engineering strategies.Be a positive influence on the team by promoting a culture of innovation within the group, nurturing new ideas, and growing and supporting engineers through mentorship.Work closely with product managers to:Understand project complexity and scopeMake and communicate sound trade-off decisionsBreak down work in a way that mitigates risk and maximizes team output.Should have strong front-end experience in architecture and design, be a highly productive hands-on contributor building new features and enhancing existing functionality within the Buildium platform using technologies like C, ASP.NET Web API, Angular, and MySql that are hosted in AWS. Be a key influencer in the research and implementation of new technologies, tools, and architectural patterns for the department through participation in guilds, focus groups, and tech talks.Has a broad based understanding of team technical deliverables from idea to production including all steps in between (discovery, design, testing, build, release, iteration)REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES10+ years of experience in developing customer-facing software with responsibilities ranging from project planning to successful delivery of key featuresHands-on expert level experience with C, .NET 4.5/.NET Core, ASP.NET MVC/Web API and JavaScript frameworks like Angular, React, and/or VueExtensive experience creating and consuming REST web services and APIsStrong relational database skills using technologies like MySQL or SQL Server.Familiarity with AWS services and infrastructureUnderstanding of source code management tools such as Git, and the workflows associated with them (branching and merging)Excellent presentation and facilitation skillsBachelor''s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience LI-LH1 LI-REMOTEWHAT WE OFFERCasual and collaborative work environmentFlexible time offMedical, dental & vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan with company matchParental leaveFlexible spending and dependent care accountsCommuter benefitsFree lunch ThursdaysPing Pong, Foosball, etcFree snacksAt Buildium we''re always looking for smart, driven, enthusiastic professionals who want to join our team.
