Company: One of Our ClientsPosition: Organic Chemist- II (Associate)Location: Rahway, NJDuration: 06+ MonthsJob Description:The Process Research and Development department of *** Research Laboratories has a research chemist position available in the Rahway, New Jersey research facility. It is a laboratory-based role to support process development. *** is seeking a candidate with experience in organic chemistry, organic synthesis, methodology/catalysis (including chemocatalysis, biocatalysis and heterogeneous catalysis), total synthesis, physical organic chemistry, or flow chemistry, along with a proven track record of solving problems.Quals--A PhD in Chemistry with 0-1year experience or an MS degree in chemistry with a minimum of 5 years of experience in organic synthesis including synthetic methodology, catalysis, and / or total synthesis along with a proven track record of solving problems. Software: Ability to use Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Must have:Synthetic organic chemistry experience. Nice to have: Experience in industry pharma/Agro-chemical. Preferred Skills and Experience: • Significant experience in synthesis, purification and analytical characterization including HPLC, MS, and NMR • Experience in DOE design and process characterization Personality: Strong attention to detail, particularly when documenting experiments Strong oral and written communication skills Willing to work in a collaborative manner as a part of a team Solid critical thinking skills *NOTE: Onsite role ate Rahway,NJ for 6 months with possibility of extension.
